Microair Mask, from the makers of DermaSilk, are a washable and re-usable single layer facial covering, capable of being washed and re-used up to 100 times. Made from a hi-tech, breathable barrier fabric of 100% textured polyester microfibre with a permanent antimicrobial protection bonded to its surface, ensuring adequate air passage and optimal comfort.

The densely woven, hi-tech polyester microfibre fabric blocks microorganisms and particulates with dimensions greater than 7 microns, which allows a flow of gentle air but acts as a barrier when air is forced through – such as with a cough or a sneeze.

The barrier fabric performs its protective action in two ways:

• It reduces the potential for inhalation of microorganisms and particles present in the environment through the nose and mouth
• It reduces the risk of the wearer transmitting microorganisms and particles from the oronasal area of the wearer to the surrounding environment

Technical Characteristics:

• Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE) of 98.2% tested to BS EN 14683:2019 standards
• Antibacterial activity on Staph Aureus of 100% to ASTM 2149:13

Microair Mask is not a surgical mask and is not designed for use in clinical settings where masks made of multiple layers of non-woven fabric are recommended.
